Membership does have its advantages.

Kanagio Yacht Club is a member of ILYA. This allows you to stay at affiliated clubs on the Great Lakes. Many of these clubs offer free overnight docking. KYC has reciprocal agreements in place ranging from one night to unlimited docking privileges. In addition you get to enjoy the wonderful hospitality, facilities and events at these clubs. Many of our members have made lifelong friends in their travels around the lakes.

KYC has facilities equal to none in its price class. We have a modern clubhouse with a bar open during functions, a large deck and great washrooms and showers. Our spacious park-like grounds include flower gardens, mature trees, picnic shelter, campfire, pop machine, ice machine and some playground equipment. We have no finger docks, so everyone has their own picnic table, barbeque and dock-box for storage right at their dock-site. Each dock has 30 amp shore-power and water outlets. In addition, there are water and electrical outlets at each lamp-post. You have unlimited use of our equipment such as the travel lift, power washer, pump out and garden tractor with trailer. KYC has docking facilities for boats up to 40’ with up to a 13’ beam and weighing up to 10 tons.

We have a pay once policy. Your annual dues include dockage, unlimited use of travel lift, Can-Am, CALIPSO, Labour Day and Halloween parties and the Commodores Ball. There are also a number of other events over the year with no cover charge. There is an additional nominal charge of $50 for outdoor winter storage and $75 for boats with air conditioning.

KYC prides itself on being an affordable working mans club. Each member is required to contribute a minimum of 10 work hours each season to help maintain our reasonable fees. Whether it’s gardening, installing and removing docks, pumping gas, bartending, travel lift operator, helping out at the functions or numerous other jobs, there is something to do for everyone.
